Interested in helping the next generation of paddlers get started on the water?
Canoe Racing NZ and kayaking clubs around Auckland are looking for people to help coach their Try Learn Explore paddling courses over summer.
The Try Learn Explore courses introduce kids and adults to paddling.
This paid work is fun and flexible and can work around your availability. Whether you want lots of work or just one session a week, we can use you. Paddling sessions are after school and on the weekends.
CRNZ and our clubs can provide training, support and learning opportunities. Coaching experience is preferred but not necessary.
Coaches must be aged over 16 years, with roles both as Lead Coach and Assistant Coach available.
You do not need to be an expert kayaker, but some experience and a high level of water confidence / competence is required.
Coaching sessions will take place at various locations, including Lake Pupuke (NSCC), Takapuna, Okahu Bay and Te Atatu.
