The International Canoe Federation announced in May that there will be no national quotas for entries to the 2022 ICF Ocean Ski World Champs.
As such, the World Championships this year will be open entry. The event will run at Viana do Castelo, Portugal from 6-9 October 2022.
The ICF still requires Canoe Racing NZ to administer athletes’ entries. If you are interested in competing in Portugal, please email maree.kaati@canoeracing.org.nz.
CRNZ requires notice by 1 September 2022 to give enough time to process entries.
Please note that the standard eligibility requirements in the CRNZ Selection Regulations will apply.
In particular, every athlete must be a NZ citizen and a financial member of a CRNZ member club. Competitors must organise their own travel and accommodation.
