With a large group of paddlers of all levels, from World Champions to weekend warriors, Takapuna is the perfect spot to paddle in any conditions. Enjoy an leisurely paddle towards Rangitoto or along the bays, join our regular training sessions and races, and chase epic downwinds.
Once you have finished your paddle enjoy the club’s facilities including bar and cafe/restaurant with world-class sea views.
We have purpose-built surfski storage in the club giving you easy access to the water, and with regular training groups/sessions and development clinics, we can help you improve your paddling. We have a range of club owned surfskis, that is available to be used by active members.
New to paddling? Takapuna Boating Club offers Learn to Paddle surfski courses for both kids and adults, with great coaches and all equipment provided.
Takapuna is home to the Vaikobi Auckland King & Queen of the Harbour, New Zealand’s premier surfski race, typically held at the end of summer (April/May).
