Eastside Paddlers’ focus is on making participation in Sprint Kayaking, and watersports in general, accessible to our local community on the East side of Christchurch.  

We teach kayaking, provide equipment, training programs, coaching, and above all have fun. Our core programs range from entry level kayaking, to paddling for fun and health and wellbeing, through to advanced competitive kayak racing. We cater to all abilities. In addition, the club offer private kayak technique sessions for older paddlers.

We are accredited to deliver the CRNZ Try Learn Explore program for entry level paddlers and aim to be fully inclusive, working towards becoming a PaddleAble endorsed club.

We operate out of a large mobile trailer at various locations around Christchurch rivers, though predominantly on the Avon River. Our Head Coach is Paul Fidow. Paul has coached at all levels of our sport and has a wealth of knowledge to share.
