This is an independently organised Event run by Welly Paddlers with a start / finish at the Te Awahou Riverside Reserve, Harbour Street, Foxton.
Distances : 12 km / 6 km / 3 km which navigates around Matakarapa Island on the Iconic Manawatū River Loop.
The Event is open to K1’s & K2’s, multisport kayaks, waka ama, SUP’s, sea kayaks, prone paddle boards, surf skis and surf life saving craft (basically any craft that you can paddle)
10.00 am registration opens
11.30 am 12 km All Recreational craft & Racing SUP start
12.00 pm 12 km W 6 & W 12 start
12.02 pm 12 km W1 & W2 start
12.04 pm 12 km female kayak / surf ski start
12.06 pm 12km male kayak / surf ski start
12.08 pm 6 km / 3 km all craft, including inflatable and touring SUP start
Event spot prize giving 1.30 pm – 1.50 pm
