Returning to the original October timing of this event, the focus for this event will be technique training in a fun environment and will be held on stunning Lake Ruataniwha in Twizel, 7-8 October 2023.  There will also be some sprint and mid-distance racing (5k) worked into the weekend.  We have a full lake closure for the event!

Training sessions will be held on the Saturday and sprint racing on the Sunday.  Races will include 200m, 500m and 1000m singles boats, 200m and 500m K2s, 100m relays and a 5km race which can be raced individually or in a team (splitting up the laps).   Races will be put together based on your ability rather than your age group so you’ll  need to submit a 200m time.  Teams will be made up on the day.

All are welcome – if you paddle a multisport boat, ski or something else, but want some technique training and would like to see what sprint racing is like in a fun, non-threatening environment, we’d love you to join us.

Entry fees:  $40 per person (regardless of age).
