The 14th event of the annual ocean surfski race from Kaiteriteri Beach to Port Māpua – The Queen & King Of The Bay (QKB)- this year doubles as the 2022 New Zealand Ocean Racing National Championships.
The championship race will be on Saturday 26th February, on one of two courses depending on wind direction. Course #1 is the classic route from Kaiteriteri Beach to Port Māpua. Course #2 is a loop course starting and finishing from Kaiteriteri Beach.
This race is part of the Darcy Price NZ Ocean Racing series.
Sunday 27th is a race along the pristine Abel Tasman coast, this is limited to the first 50-entries, due to DOC requirements of paddling in the National Park.
