The Kayak Krazy 10km Winter series is made up club-run paddling races around New Zealand to keep all paddlers active and connected over the winter months.
Race #9 of the 2023 series will be held at on Henderson River on the Te Atatu Penisula in Auckland, proudly hosted by the Waitemata Canoe and Multisport Club, on Sunday 17th September.
Open to anyone who wants to come and paddle- K1, multicraft boats (skis, multisport boats, sea kayaks, recreational craft), SUP, Waka Ama and K2/Doubleskis.
People enjoying the water is what we want to see!
Age groups/distances/categories will be:
- 12&Under – 2-3km Entry Fee $10
- 14&U, 16&U, recreational – 5-6km Entry Fee $10
- SUP- all ages -7-8km Entry Fee $20
- 18&U, Open, Masters – 10km Entry Fee $20
- K2/Double Skis– 10km Entry Fee $20
Masters age groups will be broken up, depending on sufficient numbers in each category.
Recreational 5km division will is not a Kayak Krazy series division, but there for people who want to get on the water, paddle/race but not do 10km.
Race Day Schedule:
7.30am- Registration in WMCS clubrooms
8am – Race Briefing
8.30am- Race starts
8.51am- High tide 3.02 m
Prizegiving will be held as soon as possible following race, as well as breakfast.

To be part of the Kayak Krazy 10km Winter series, you need to compete in 2 races, plus the 10km Champs at Rotorua on 30th September.
