Due to severe weather warnings and gale force winds, this event has been cancelled.
The Kayak Krazy 10km Winter series is made up of club-run paddling races around New Zealand to keep all paddlers active and connected over the winter months.
Race #8 of the 2023 series will be held at Otaki in Kapiti, proudly hosted by the Mana Kayak Club. Racing will be held on “Winstones” lake, Otaki.
This one is going to be a little different with the 10k broken down into 4 separate races as follows: (multisport/skis optional portage)

Event results will be based on accumulated points over the 4 races.

11.00am:Paddler Registration
11.30am: Paddler Briefing
12pm: Racing starts
Prizegiving will be held as soon as possible following the completion of racing.
Getting There
Venue: “Winstones” Lake, Otaki
Directions:
If heading North from Wellington turn off at Otaki, cross the bridge and take the first right (gravel road). This will take you under the motorway. Then turn left towards the lake.
If heading South go all the way through Otaki and turn left just before the bridge out of Otaki.
Series Information
To be part of the Kayak Krazy 10km Winter series, you need to compete in 2 races, plus the 10km Champs at Rotorua on 30th September.
