The Heads to Harbour Waka and Surf Ski Race is back for 2022, on its new (rescheduled) date of Saturday 30th April with a new home at the Tarawera Outrigger Canoe Club.
This event is for single or double waka and ocean ski paddlers who are keen for the challenge to race 21km on the ocean along the coast of Ohope and Whakatane. Start will be Ohope or Whakatane depending on the weather.
We can’t predict the weather but we can predict a great day of paddling alongside great friends. We hope the weather gods will put on the goods to make the day more enjoyable and the ride out on the ocean worthy of one to remember. This event is in its 2nd year and we hope to see it grow and develop to be an event everyone looks forward to.

This event is limited to 100 entries. This event requires a MY VACCINE PASS & Photo I.D
