The Zespri Aims Games has grown into a massive festival of sport in Tauranga for Intermediate schools. The tournament gives 11, 12 and 13 year olds an opportunity to represent their schools in over 23 different sporting codes, and we are thrilled to have canoe sport included again this year.
The Canoe Sport event takes place over 2 days and includes Canoe Slalom and Canoe Sprint events. Paddlers can choose to compete in one or the other, or both.
Sunday 4th September- Practice day, McLaren Falls, Tauranga
Monday 5th September- Canoe Slalom event, McLaren Falls, Tauranga
Tuesday 6th September- Canoe Sprint event, Pilot Bay, Mt Maunganui
Entry divisions are year 7 boys, year 7 girls, year 8 boys and year 8 girls.
It will include individual races and team relays.
All equipment is provided.
Entries close on Wednesday 8th June at 11.59pm. Entries must be done through your school, so contact your school’s Aims Games Coordinator.
