2021 Auckland King & Queen of the Harbour

May 07

Takapuna Boating Club, Auckland

Following postponement of the original date in November, the 2021 Vaikobi Auckland King & Queen of the Harbour will be held from the Takapuna Boating Club on Saturday 7th May 2022.

New Zealand’s premier ocean ski event also features SUP and Waka-Ama categories, and will see the Auckland Harbour and the Hauraki Gulf play host to the best paddlers this country has to offer.

This race is the final event of the 2021/22 Darcy Price NZ Ocean Surfski Series.

We have three possible long course options between 18-23km all finishing at Takapuna, designed to provide the best downwind run regardless of wind direction. The final course will be decided on Wednesday 4th May.

Due to Covid restrictions, this will be a slightly different looking event this year, especially post event. Based on current Covid settings:

    • Entries will be limited to 100 paddlers.
    • Vaccination passes will be required for all paddlers.
    • Paddlers must agree to follow all covid safety protocols set by the event organiser.

These conditions may change if the covid regulations change prior to the event.
