Canoe Sprint Nationals Rescheduled for May

The 2021 NZCT New Zealand Canoe Sprint Championships has been rescheduled to take place on May 14-16 at Lake Karapiro.

In close consultation with the clubs, four potential date options were explored and it was decided thanks to club feedback and a range of factors that the May date was the preferred choice.

The date will also work well for our high performance athletes in the countdown to what it is hoped will be a successful Tokyo Olympics Games.

Selection polices based on the new dates will be amended and we hope to update next week.

We thank everyone for their patience and support through what was been a disruptive period. We also greatly value the feedback we received from clubs.

Note, the online entry system will be opened again. Club entries will still be there, so entries can be edited rather processed from scratch. We welcome any new entries but also understand they may be some withdrawals.
