The Summer of Sprint is coming and entries for the first Tikitapu Sprint regatta of the season will be opening soon. Going forward, the CRNZ Sprint events entry process and system is going to look a bit different.
What’s changed?
Enter Now, the previous registration system we used has closed down and so our team has been working hard over the winter season to set up a new system, taking the opportunity to streamline the entry process for all clubs and paddlers. This will mean a shift in the way entries are made.
What’s new?
We will be using the CRNZ Paddler Portal as the new entry system for Sprint events*.
Each individual (or family) will now enter their own K1 races. Online payment will be taken at this time.
Every individual paddler will need to have a log in/profile in our Paddler Portal here. You can “Add family members” to your profile within the portal for families with multiple paddlers.
Club/Team Managers will then enter team boats and club relays separately through a private club administrator access in the Portal.
This change aims to streamline the entry process between paddlers and CRNZ and reduce the heavy admin burden on club administrators. Club/Team Managers will be given visibility of their club entries, enabling them to chase paddlers not yet entered.
We have been using this portal for entries to our winter series races and many other events over the past 18months so many of our paddlers and club administrators are already familiar and comfortable with this system. We already have over 1000 users of the Paddler Portal.
*The Secondary School event will be a different system as schools will enter their athletes as per previous years.
What next?
Final event information and online entry for Tikitapu 1 will be available next week. In the meantime:
Paddlers:
Create a user profile/login to the CRNZ Paddler Portal here
It just takes a few minutes.
How to Create a User Profile in the Paddler Portal
How to Add Family Members to your Profile
Alternatively, when you try to enter the event it will direct you to creating a login.
Clubs:
Tell the CRNZ Event Manager Lauren who your Club Manager is for the upcoming sprint season, so we can get them set up with admin access and support them through this new process. This will include online workshops to show you the new system. Clubs should have received some emails regarding this change.
The CRNZ team will work alongside our clubs and community to support you through this new process and ensure it is as clear and easy as possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
