The inaugural 2024 New Zealand Secondary School Canoe Racing National Championships will be held over two and half days at the spectacular Lake Tikitapu, in conjunction with the NZ Waka Ama Secondary School National Championships.
This is a School Sport New Zealand sanctioned event.
Racing will include single person kayaks (K1) in 250m races and distance events (between 1.5-2.5km depending on age group), and 4x100m school team relay races.
Age group divisions will include 14&Under, 16&Under and 18&Under. This event is disability inclusive and will include para canoe racing.
Canoe Racing NZ aims to lower barriers to participation through the provision of equipment across all divisions.
