The 2023 Poor Knights Crossing – the opening round of the 2023-24 Darcy Price NZ Ocean Ski Series – will take place on Saturday 2nd September.
The Poor Knights Crossing is a 30km open ocean downwind race open to surf skis and waka ama.
Aotearoa’s toughest open ocean downwind race runs from the Poor Knights Marine Reserve to Tutukaka, Northland, New Zealand (or reverse) and is hosted by Mitamitaga o le Pasefika Va’a-alo Canoe Club.
There is also a 12-14km short course option available.
Entry includes a race t-shirt and post-race meal.
