Online entries are open to Tikitapu 1, our first sprint event of the season at the stunning Lake Tikitapu in Rotorua on 6/7 December.
Tikitapu 1 is a divisional regatta for single person (K1) craft meaning paddlers race against those of like ability regardless of age or craft. This allows for close competitive racing for all paddlers, no matter your age, craft or ability. All types of paddle craft are welcome.
There will have 6 divisions in each gender, and paddlers will select which division they are in for each race distance, based on their estimated race time.
Team boats are raced in age groups.
There will be race distances of 200m, 500m and 1000m as well as a 2.5/5km race. Racing will include K1, K2 and K4 crafts and club relays. This is a disability inclusive event and CRNZ can provide additional support to anyone who needs it.
All event information including an event guide can be found on the CRNZ online event calendar.
There is a new entry process for sprint events this summer, which means paddlers must enter themselves in their K1/single craft events via the Paddler Portal. Clubs will still be responsible for entering team boats and relays.
Online entries close at 11.59pm on Sunday 23 November, so enter now and get your summer of sprint underway!
