Try Learn Explore (TLE) is a paddling programme and learning framework developed by Canoe Racing NZ to help clubs, organisations and coaches attract and retain  new paddlers by helping them to provide good quality introductory experiences.

Try Learn Explore paddling programmes aim to be an accessible and enjoyable way for participants to begin paddling, developing participant confidence  and paddling skills over three progressive stages. The focus of the TLE  is ensuring safe and enjoyable environments with suitably trained and knowledgable coaches to inspire a life-long love of paddling.

TLE has been developed to be used by clubs and paddling organisations as an entry point to paddling for participants of all ages.
