Canoe marathon is an endurance sport that tests a paddler’s tactics, stamina, and athleticism. Races can be up to 30 km, often featuring portages where paddlers must run while carrying their kayaks. A recent addition to the discipline is the short course event, a 3-4 km race with portages between laps, offering a faster-paced alternative.
