Tasman Bay Kayak Racing Club

Tasman Bay Kayak Club meets on Monday evenings at Akersten Street Boat Ramp in the Nelson Marina for racing and training sessions. The club has a formal racing programme from September to April followed by a winter training programme from May to August. The club welcomes all racing paddlers of different abilities, catering to all skill levels.

The club includes legends such as Andrew Martin (White Water World Champion), Richard and Elina Ussher, Nathan Fa’avae and Sophie Hart – all elite multisport athletes.

We are a friendly club which welcomes beginners and are keen to encourage and develop a youth element to the club.
