Sports and Recognition Awards

Nominations are open for the Annual Sports and Recognition Awards.

Nominations are open until 31 October 2018 for the Annual Canoe Racing Sports and Recognition Awards.  Eligible entries are for performance or contributions that take place from 1 October previous year to 30 September of the current year.  Clubs and individuals may nominate in the following categories:

I.    Canoe Sprint Athlete of the Year
II.   Marathon Athlete of the Year
III.  Ocean Surf Ski Athlete of the Year
IV.  Junior (U18) Athlete of the Year
V.   Masters (35+) Athlete of the Year
VI.  Coach of the Year
VII.Team of the Year
VIII.Official of the Year
IX.  Volunteer of the Year
X.   Club of the Year

Also on offer this year is an exciting new Award, voted on by the public...   MOMENT OF THE YEAR. 

This will be run via our Facebook page and "moments" will be posted for voting.   This brings with it an $800 travel prize which is split between the winners of the moment (i.e. K1 winner will receive the entire prize, K2 winners $400 each, K4 winners $200 each).   So keep an eye out for this on Facebook and get voting!

The Awards function is open to members and supporters to attend and will be held Saturday 1 December 2018 at the Holiday in, Tyron Street, Rotorua.

Guest MC  ABBY WILSON (TVNZ) will interview LISA CARRINGTON.
