Close race to take the inaugural Asia Pacific Cup

The New Zealand team added a swag of medals to their tally on day 2 of the Asia Pacific Canoe Sprint Cup in Adelaide where paddlers from NZ, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Cook Islands and Tahiti are vying for points to take out the inaugural event and claim the Cup.

The New Zealand team added a swag of medals to their tally on day 2 of the Asia Pacific Canoe Sprint Cup in Adelaide where paddlers from NZ, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Cook Islands and Tahiti are vying for points to take out the inaugural event and claim the Cup.

After the second day Australia are leading with 332 points, New Zealand trailing not too far behind with 284 points. The final day will be the decider with the  last race of the day, the Mixed 200m Relay offering double points.

The kiwis racked up another 15 medals today, most notably 7 Gold medals.
