The Canoe Marathon Masters World Cup precedes the World Championships and three kiwis took part.

The ICF Canoe Marathon Masters World Cup took place last night in Brandenburg, Germany with three kiwis representing New Zealand in three age groups.  Conditions were calm in the morning, turning to a blustery side wind in the afternoon with temperatures up to 31° causing a tough start for the Mens 50-54 age group. 

Results:

Kim Harker, Mens 55-59 years, 19km  - 14th in 1 hour 41 min

Karen Pflug, Womens K1 45-49 years, 19km - 7th in 2 hours 15min

Marshall Hollister-Jones, Mens K1 50-54 years, 22.6km -  21st in 2 hours 34 min

The juniors will race in the ICF Canoe Marathon World Champs commencing Friday 16th.
