Assistant Coach HP Womens Programme

Canoe Racing New Zealand has an enviable history of Olympic success in sprint kayaking and anticipates strong performance in future Olympic Games and World Championships. Our focus on continued success in the international arena means we are looking for someone to join our team to support the coaching of our Women’s Programme.

Reporting to the programme’s Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will be an important member of our High Performance team and will be driven to support the team’s pursuit of medal-winning results. Collaboration is critical to success in this role, and as a candidate you will demonstrate the highest personal and professional standards in your coaching practice and clear alignment between your own values and our organisational values. To work as part of our team you will possess outstanding communication skills as well as a track record of building effective working relationships. You will be committed learner who is seeking to improve your coaching.

The nature of our training environment means that the successful candidate will be required to deliver high level technical sessions on the water, therefore at least 5 years’ experience coaching high performance paddlers and the ability to paddle are essential to the role.

You will work alongside a world leading staff and will have access to our unique tools and technology in the daily training environment.
