Selector Appointment

Chris Emmett has been a part of the Canoe Racing community for a number of years. He is the current President and member of Bay of Plenty Canoe Club, and a keen paddler himself racing Masters over the past five years. Chris has also been a CRNZ board member for three years so has a wide knowledge of the sport. Chris will replace John Trotter, sitting on the Under 23 and Open Selection Panel with Convenor of Selectors, Steve Richards.

Chris also has an extensive Surf Life Saving background at all levels, competitor, coach and currently works as the Regional Manager in the Eastern Region.

We are delighted to be able to appoint Chris to our Selection Panel and believe his broad understanding of our sport will add significant value to our current team of Selectors. His appointment commences this month.

Please join us in welcoming Chris Emmett.
