K1 World Cup and Junior/Under 23 World Champs Announcement

Further to the recent New Zealand crew boat announcements we would now like to congratulate the following athletes who have been selected to represent New Zealand in K1 events at the following International events this year.

2017 Junior/Under 23 World Championships
Under 18 Men’s K1 200m - Ethan Moore
Under 18 Men’s K1 1000m – Ben McCallum
Under 18 Women’s 200m – Alicia Hoskin
Under 18 Women’s 500m – Danielle Watson
Under 23 Men’s K1 1000m – Quaid Thompson
Under 23 Men’s K1 200m - Kurtis Imrie
Under 23 Women’s K1 200m/500m – Aimee Fisher
2017 Open World Cups
Open Women’s K1 200m + K1 500m – Lisa Carrington

The following athletes are selected as the next preferred K1 200/500 athletes for the 2017 World Cups

We have also taken the opportunity to select a New Zealand Women’s C2 Boat to further develop our C Boat Programme.

  •  Women’s C2 500m - Maria Rodríguez Maillard/Mia Chung Friend

 Scott Martlew had been selected for the World Championships in the Open Men KL3 200m.
