Canoe Racing NZ Assistant Coach Position – Sprint Kayaking

CRNZ is seeking an Assistant Coach to join our world-class coaching team.

We aim to build a coaching team with a shared vision and approach to performance in kayaking. The new coach will work primarily with our men’s squad, but we intend that all CRNZ coaches will work together as a genuine team for the benefit of our athletes.

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Coach position are as follows:

  • Programme – Help to create a world-class kayaking programme in NZ;
  • Coaching – Deliver high quality training under the leadership of the Technical Director, and support athletes to achieve their (and CRNZ’s) performance goals;
  • Environment – Help create an environment that helps athletes work towards world-class performance;
  • Teamwork – work as part of an effective and unified CRNZ coaching team; and
  • Learning – Pursue excellence in coaching by actively learning in accordance with a professional development plan.
