Board Member Appointment

Canoe Racing New Zealand (CRNZ) is the national body responsible for the overall leadership and development of the Olympic sport of competitive Canoe Racing.  The sport has a very proud history with a number of past and current Olympic Gold Medallists and World Champions.

This is an exciting time for Canoe Racing. The current and emerging athletes offer the potential of ongoing success. High Performance Sport New Zealand works with us to build a sustainable multi-medal producing programme.

The further development of the programme coupled with balanced with the needs of our grass roots members and wider community is critical to the future success of our organisation.

The CRNZ Board is currently seeking to fill one appointed Director Role. An independent Board Appointments Panel will select the successful appointee.

Applications are invited from interested people who can offer all or some of the following: 

  • A commitment to the mission and values of CRNZ.
  • The ability to think strategically and be future focused.
  • A strong financial management background preferably with accounting qualifications.
  • Demonstrated governance experience
  • Commercial and/or community networks that will add value to the CRNZ Board.
